Queen Isabella

Story

Isabella, like her daughters, loved to dance, and she had a dance pavilion in the castle. Her daughters, and also her husband, loved her very much, and they still do. When the girls were younger, Queen Isabella gave them all the story books. All of the books had the girl's favorite flowers (for example, a geranium for Ashlyn, a larkspur for Blair, etc.)

The story books are about a princess who loves to dance, and goes to a dance pavilion in a magical world to dance at night. After the third night, the magical world disappears, and the princess is distraught. This hinted to her daughters that the stone pattern on their bedroom floor was the gateway to the magical world from the story, where the girls could dance and get away from their problems.

Duchess Rowena, who wanted to make the girls into "proper princesses" upset the girls by making them change who they were. She also tried to steal the Queen's silver goblet. After the trouble she caused, Genevieve used magic to make Rowena and her crony Desmond dance forever.

The Queen still helped the girls, even after her death, because of something she used to tell them: "There's a difference only you can make."

She didn't want her girls to change who they were, and she told her husband that their children would do great things in their own special way.

Erika's Parents

Story:

Erika's Parents are minor characters in Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper. When Erika was a baby, they worried about how they would be able to care for her because they were very poor. They got into debt by borrowing money from Madame Carp in order to pay for their daughter’s needs. Erika worked at Madame Carp's Dress Emporium as a seamstress to repay her parent's debt for many years until it was closed.

Story:

The late King is an unnamed and minor character in Barbie as The Princess and the Pauper. He was Queen Genevieve's husband and Princess Anneliese's father.The King only appeared in two stills during the film's prologue, sometime after Anneliese was born he is known to have died since his wife is later called "the widowed queen." The King's crown was kept in the throne room and later became the object of Preminger's desire.

Story:

Queen Isabella of Gardania is a deceased character in Barbie: Princess Charm School. But she never had an appearance except through portraits. She is the biological mother of Princess Sophia. She and her husband, King Reginald, were killed in a car crash when Blair was a year old.

Blair resembles her mother perfectly, as seen in the portraits. The portraits made Blair and her friends realize that she was Princess Sophia, Queen Isabella and King Reginald 's daughter.
